This painting is part of my 100 Paintings 2026 practice. This is the third year I have given myself this challenge. In years past, I painted every day for the first 100 days of the year, working very small in watercolor or gouache.

This year looks a little different.

I wanted to continue growing my relationship with acrylic paint and deepen my craft, because I truly see a difference in my work when I practice consistently. At the same time, I welcomed a baby in November, and the last thing I wanted was to create additional pressure or stress. Instead of a daily rule, I am creating 20 small acrylic paintings throughout each month, finishing them at a pace that supports both my creative practice and this season of life. These paintings will be released in small monthly launches so I can continue sharing my work with you.

This practice is not about perfection. It is about exploration within and beyond my style, subject matter, and composition. I am playing with light, color, and everyday moments, following whatever catches my attention and diving into the painting.

Through years of consistent practice, my style has become known for incorporating the frame as part of the artwork itself. Each painting extends onto the frame, making the frame an essential part of the final piece rather than an afterthought. Every work in this series is fully framed and ready to hang.

Before pursuing art full time, I felt lost when it came to defining my style. Creating regularly, working through challenges, and allowing myself to experiment helped me find something that feels deeply authentic. Work that I truly love creating and that seems to resonate with others.

This project is also a way for me to stay connected to myself during this postpartum season. Even as I feel grounded in my style, it is important to continue exploring so the work stays curious, alive, and fun.

You will find that the subject matter varies and may feel simple, quiet, or unexpected. These are intuitive paintings rooted in everyday inspiration.

Thank you to The Frame Center for the custom frames that complete this series of work.
Thank you for being here and for supporting my art.
